GRDN Juice ("GRDN," "we," "us," or "our") operates the grdn-juice.com website and the GRDN Juice mobile application (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using the Service you agree to the practices described here. If any part of this policy is unacceptable to you, please don't use the Service.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us directly

• Account information. Name, email address, and password when you register an account.
• Order details. The juices and add-ins you order, custom blend recipes you create, delivery addresses, and any dietary notes you choose to include.
• Payment information. Card or wallet details are collected and processed by our payment processor (Stripe). GRDN never sees or stores your full card number.
• Subscription preferences. Frequency, scheduled delivery times, and active/paused status.
• Communications. Messages you send us via support email or in-app feedback.

Information collected automatically

• Device and usage information. Device model, operating system, app version, IP address, and crash reports — used to diagnose problems and improve the app.
• Order history and preferences. Used to show you relevant blends, remember your favorites, and recommend pairings.

What we don't collect

• We do not collect precise location data unless you opt in for delivery routing.
• We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.
• We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

2. How we use your information

• To process and fulfill your orders and subscriptions.
• To communicate about your orders, account, or service updates.
• To respond to your support requests.
• To improve the Service — diagnose crashes, measure feature usage in aggregate, and prioritize what to build next.
• To prevent fraud and protect our customers and business.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. How we share your information

We don't sell your personal information.We share information only in these limited cases:

• Service providers who help us run the business — payment processing (Stripe), hosting (Vercel, Neon), email delivery, and crash analytics. These providers are contractually required to use your data only to provide their service to us.
• Local providers and farms. When your order includes ingredients sourced from a specific farm, we share the order quantity (not your name or address) so they can prepare it.
• Legal requirements. If required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
• Business transfers. If GRDN is acquired or merges with another company, your information may transfer as part of that transaction. You will be notified.

4. Data retention

We keep your account information and order history as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete personal information within 90 days, except where retention is required for tax, accounting, or legal compliance (typically 7 years).

5. Security

We use industry-standard security: TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive data, hashed passwords, and access controls limiting who on our team can see your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your data and respond quickly to any incident.

6. Your rights and choices

You can:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information from your account settings or by emailing us.
• Delete your account and personal information by emailing us at the address below.
• Export a copy of your order history.
• Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any GRDN email. (Order and account emails cannot be opted out of while you have an active account.)

If you live in California, the EU, the UK, or another jurisdiction with privacy laws granting additional rights (CCPA, GDPR, etc.), those rights apply and you may exercise them by contacting us.

7. Children's privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. International users

GRDN is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois (USA), and our servers are in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email at least 30 days before the new policy takes effect.
